February 11 Dir en grey Inward Scream at TorontoWARNING: LOTS OF SWEARING BECAUSE OF EXCITEMENT. I'm not gonna talk about the before and after the actual concert except for the lining up. It'd be too long if i talked about the entire day. Alright. We got there, met Samm, budded in line, waited for 1 hour and 50 minutes outside. While waiting outside, this Japanese Dir en grey roadie took out a camera and started filming us. Yes baby we were once filmed! We also met some cool people through Samm, borrowed one of her friend's eyeliner and drew on our face :) After the long waiting we were finally getting in. Surprisingly when they did the pat down, it was rather quick and easy.. didn't expect that.. We bought some merchandise 8D <3 fuck they killed my wallet but oh well, it's a once in a lifetime thing ya know? We were really excited! We quickly went to the pit. The first opening band was Bleed the Dream. They were pretty good and I liked them! The guitarist (whoever he is) is pretty hot :) so's the vocalist. Anyway back to Dir en grey. So people started coming in and that was fine. I got the vocalist of BtD's water lol. After they finish (6:45) the Fair to Midland roadie came on and set up the stage. Heck when they started to play, immediately I thought "Shit they suck balls". The guitarist was crazy, he took off his shirt? I mean if he was good looking and has a nice body, hey why not. The truth is not that! And 3 of the band members had long ugly puffy curly hair-they looked identical to me. The band's music was crap. All the songs they played seemed like one long song that lasted for 45 minutes. When they finished I didn't even cheer for them 'coz they sucked that much. After they left, their roadie started to bring their equiments down. Ahah, we started to chant "DIR EN GREY!! DIR EN GREY!!" continuously. We were really excited. I know, nice feeling isn't it? Not really. When the chanting started, people began moshing and killing each other. We kept on going further from the stage as the moshing went on. Then this fucking Asian asshole was trying to push to the front with his fucking girlfriend. It didn't work. I had my elbow up and it was quite hard for him to go up front. Not nice eh? Being squished so much. I mean, it is totally fine with me no one was trying to get to front by shoving themselves at us and bullshitting. The girls around us in the beginning were cool though. Oh, don't think that's over. I fucking hated this big fat ugly tall black dude who had a huge backpack on. He apparently was using me as his 'tool' to shove his way up. Basically he pushed his fucking self and backpack against my bag. Obviously I didn't let him go through, so I used my ass to screw him off. However having 2 fucking (tall) assholes around us trying to shove their way up front is like you being flattened by a hair straightening iron. It was hot, squished, claustrophic, crazy, hard to breath, and more other worse feelings like you're about to die (hey pun! you know, Die in Dir en grey. I love puns haha). Since we're short too we decided to leave that area and go to the back. I know.. it was a sacrafice that we had to make, but think about it, NO PRESSURE or GET STEPPED OVER? I think you know what you would choose. We got out of the moshing pit and stayed at the back. It was much cooler and better in a way but the view wasn't so great - I had to tippy-toe throughout the whole show. By then G.D.S. was on, and we started to shout "KILL! KILL KILL KILL!!". Soon after Dir en grey came on. I'm sorry, i don't remember the order they came on. but i know that kyo came on last, cuz well, he's..kyo! So the first song went on. Shit Shinya was like the skinny muscular fine and sexy man with black and white sleeveless top and black cool looking blogs. Toshiya had a black 3-quarter sleeve shirt with a design of a Japanese-looking woman? lol don't quite remember. But he did have the chin length curly/wavy hair :3 I hadn't realize how hot he actually is with that hair! He is definitely the sexiest, in my opinion. Kaoru had the long hair, with a little bushy goatee. He wore a black tshirt. Dang, again, I didn't realize how hot he is! In real life looking at the real existing Kaoru is so much more different than looking at the live pictures of Family Values Tour. Die wore a black or white sleeveless inside a black blazor jacket. When I saw him I was really disappointed. Why you ask? It's his hair. I was expecting his awesome bright red hair like his matching red guitar, but he had brown hair - very not used to it and i think it made him look not as good. Ahah, Kyo looked hot. He wasn't wearing anything inside his jacket. He wore jeans and had a chain on it. Lovely lovely men. Since i'm not good at remembering the order of things or name of the songs, I don't remember the complete setlist. But I think they played a new song in the beginning. The songs they played (that I could remember) - not in order: G.D.S. (opening) Aggitated Screams of Maggots (2nd or 3rd song) Kodoku Ni Shisu, Yue Ni Kodoku Merciless Cult THE FATAL BELIEVER (from the new album) Clever Sleazoid Shokubeni (omfg <3) dead tree (i hoped for this song!) THE FINAL (FUCK IT WAS AMAZING) Ryoujoku no ame OBSCURE (i hoped for this too!!! awesome one) THE IIID EMPIRE and a few songs from their new album The Marrow of a Bone (pretty sure they played Grief) Oh yeah Kyo did some acapella solos too When they played ASoM they put up the video at the background. Since I don't remember the sequence of what happened, I'll just say them without any order. Kaoru did the "COME ON!! YEAAH!" and point this thumbs toward himself gesture. I love it when he does that (he did it at the Family Values, which was great). When light shined on his face, I realized how beautiful he really looks. Despite the little goatee, i thought he was a beautiful man. Same as Toshiya, when he's just looking into the crowd, I can feel the manliness in him. He looked so...beautiful. I'm having a little problem giving better descriptions here, so bare with me. He still looks young to me, like I wouldn't think that he's turning 30 this year (I know, old, but i still love him-even more now). Seriously, when he looked at the crowd, i could feel the passion in him! Wait, not the crowd.. when he looked at me!!! I have a good reason so say why he actually looked right at me. The people at the back weren't excited at all or so it seemed. They didn't even do any gestures or not to mention jumping! Obviously you know (from the previous entry of seeing Dir en grey at the Family Values) that i love to get attention from the band, I took out my skull bandana. I held it in my hand and sometimes with both. I jumped up and and down at all times whenever any of them looked at the crowd. Being the only one doing that around a bunch of people who weren't energetic at all, I was pretty much the only one standing out near my area. Holy shit Toshiya's just so great. Did i say I could feel the passion? Yeah, i meant feel the passion when he looked at me. It felts serious, manly, intense, and sincere (in a way). To be honest, I've never experienced that kind of feeling before. Ah, Kyo, Kyo, Kyo, the making-people-drop-their-jaw master. Kyo took off his jacket. He has a nice torso, yes I said that. At a point in Kodoku Ni Shisu, Yue Ni Kodoku (i think so) he took a hook from his chain that was on his pants and bit it flat. He then used it to do his infamous act. If you don't know, well it's the tormenting himself by scratching cutting etc thing. He used his little 'tool' and carved right into his skin. The scar lies horizontally under his left ribcage to the middle of his torso. He did it several times and finally blood was coming out. I turned around to see Sisi's reaction because I knew she would be either horrified or amazed. I noticed her jaw dropping, and lots of things went in her head. Kyo is very fascinating and unique. That's what I love about him. I'm sorry to say that Die was not or was hardly in my sight or my mind at all, nor does Shinya. I still love them very much though. I love Dir en grey right? I think Toshiya and Kaoru were paid attention to the most, simply cuz I love Toshiya and hence our position near the left side. Oh yeah, I didn't get much of Toshiya at all at the Family Values because I got lots of Shinya Die and Kyo. I guess this time it's fair and even. Hey you know what? Aggie and I got Toshiya's blessing water. Fuck he threw his water bottle around my area. But shit guess what, I coudln't catch it because some bitch grabbed it before us. I even went on the floor and searched it, haha how fangirly can I get? I loved Kyo's solos! I was hoping for silence or close to silence when Kyo was going to do them. I guess I got what I wanted. There was some shouting here and there but not even close to the point where we can't even hear him. They sounded really nice, especially the echoing one! he has such a great voice. Ah dammit I knew i should have written the setlist on my arm! Oh well. The songs they played were all the ones I like! Especially THE FINAL! I knew they were gonna play it when i heard the beginning part before the guitar came in. I immediately shouted cuz of the joy! Everyone started cheering when the guitar part came in. Holy shit I was screaming too much and too excited. I could barely say anything anymore at that point. I was really overjoyed. The chorus part where it goes "Te no naka ni wa aishubeki hito saemo", Kyo held up his hand (cuz TE NO NAKA NI means in your hand or at the centre of your hand) high up in the air. I was shocked that no one was doing the open palm gesture! They did fisting, devil horn, but no palm gesture that Kyo did! Obviously I was doing cuz I knew what it meant. and I think Toshiya was definitely happy, haha, okay you might not believe me but that's how it felt alright. oh shit my dad's telling me to get off but not im going to be rebellious and stay on until i finish this long entry. Anyway. I rocked so hard on this song! I was too excited and sang along the entire song. It was definitely a hit in the entire concert! I almost cried of joy! You know what, frankly this was the only song that i could remember playing in the Family Values tour, especially the chorus! I love Toshiya's bass! Just sooo awesome! At the part where Kyo sang "So I can't live so I can't live" omfg my voice was almost dead but i insisted on continuing singing. I was also surprised when I heard other people singing along! THE FINAL sure is very very famous. Ahah, OBSCURE! I looooove this song! It was very powerful. I was headbangin' almost the the whole time. The PV was playing on the screen as well. Aggie and I were excited XD while Sisi was watching the woman eating the baby from a tree. At one point in a song Kyo stuck up his middle finger at us and we did it back at him. Also, during one song Toshiya went crazy and grabbed his mike stand and dropped it upside down behind him. It hit Shinya's drums ahaha but it was cute xD I cheered for him. Ahhhh nooo i don't remember what the last song was! Well after the last song, they went off the stage and the roadie came up and did stuff with their instruments. Us fans were going crazy and wanted an encore (duh lol). At that time it was 8:50. After they left we cheered for them but later some people chanted "ENCORE ENCORE" and some chanted "DIR EN GREY! DIR EN GREY!" and I was one of them. Then the chanting died out.. so I took this chance to shout out "CANADA LOVES DIR EN GREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!" on top of my lungs. I kept on doing that until other people overpowered me with the chanting. Many of us stuck up our fists while chanting. After 5 minutes they finally came back out. They played 3 songs. I remembered clearly that one of them was Clever Sleazoid because of the chorus. Haha once I saw people made up another set of lyrics for this song and then it got stuck in my head. Otherwise I wouldn't have realize that it was Clever Sleazoid cuz i just don't like that song lol. And then at one point Toshiya went to one of the boxes at the left and touched people's hands O_O! what the frig i was so mad T.T After the last last last last last three songs, Kyo took his black bucket that said "RAPE ME" on it and poured water in it and dumped it on his head XD sexyyyyyy! Then Kaoru Toshiya and Die threw their picks at us but sadly I didn't and couldn't catch any because I was so far back *sigh* and Shinya threw his drumsticks. All of us cheered. I almost cried...baahh! I heard that Kyo hurt himself again! They say that he knocked his chin when he was going down the stairs at the end of the show. Curses....Kyo hurt himself at both times in Toronto o_o! Poor man.. Last time he knocked his head..now he knocked his chin.. Jeebuz, I hope he's alright and won't be thinking "Omfg I don't like Canada!" x_x! After the show we went to the merch stands and we saw the guitarist of Bleed the Dream. He was pretty nice and handed out picks to us. He signed Sisi's jacket. Ahaha so now look at her left sleeve :3 Then guess what I noticed? Behind the Dir en grey merch stand there was a sign saying "Dir en grey wants to thank all of you for coming out! SEE YOU NEXT TIME!" Did you get that? "See you next time!" I don't know if that's true or not, but hopefully. Haha but it could have been some brainless idiot who wrote that. Oh goodness the show was fucking AWESOME, FABULOUS, AMAZING, ASTONISHING, GREAT GRAET GREAT GREAT GREAT EXPERIENCE! I had a BLAST!! But on a side note, I lost my bag of stuff that i brought which had my AY student ID and TTC card and 2 student tickets, and most importantly my skull bandana!!!!!!!!!! aaaaahhhh that was the only time i used it!!!!! omfg im sooo sad that i don't have it x___x i dont have prove that i was the one with the bandana....However, overall February 9th was a FANTASTIC day! <3333333333333 FOREVER CANADA LOVES DIR EN GREY I LOVE DIR EN GREY WE LOVE DIR EN GREY PS. I started writing this at 11:30pm. Now (February 11th 5:46pm) I'm finally done. PSS. 2643 words in total and 13367 characters PSSS.
